Dr. Alberto Milmo serves as Chief Executive Officer of
Milmo Group and has been a director since September 15,
2003. He is also a senior partner of US Legal Counsel;
L.P. a US/Mexico legal firm specialized in civil litigation
and representation of foreign nationals that want to do
business in the United States.
Dr. Milmo has a broad experience in real state development.
He has been in charge of the development of several subdivisions
and multifamily residential projects in Monterrey, Mexico
and San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Milmo has also practiced corporate, civil, financial
and international law in Mexico, City from 2002 to 2003.
He also worked as a Chief of Staff of the Corporate Executive
Officer of the Hidalgo Public Insurance Company (AHISA)
in Mexico city. Previously, he worked as the Chief of
the Trusts Department in the same insurance company. He
was a legal advisor and a member of the Energy Transition
Team during president’s fox administration in Mexico.
He is also a former Law Professor of the master degree
courses: Structure and Actors of the International Financial
and Monetary System; Insurance Law at the Anahuac University
in Mexico, City. Among his written articles is: “The
Unseen Energy Crisis in Mexico: A necessary Legal Reform”
Anahuac Law Journal, 2001.
Dr. Milmo is a graduate of the Sorbonne University in
Paris, France where he received a master degree in International
Economic Law in 1997 and a Ph, D. In Law in 2000. He received
a master degree in Public Finances and Fiscal Affairs
from the University of Pantheon- Assas (Paris II) in 1997.
He also obtained a Juris doctorate with distinction at
the Regiomontana University in Monterrey, Mexico in 1995
and received a Bachelor of Arts, in international commerce
from the Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores
de Monterrey (I.T.E.S.M.) in 1994. Other studies include:
visiting research fellow at the Law Faculty at Georgetown
University; European Studies at the University of Humberside
in Kingston upon Hall, England; International Relations
at the I.C.A.D.E. in Madrid, Spain.
He is admitted in the legal bar in Mexico and France.
He also speaks fluent English, Spanish and French. |
